Historical series ‘Tabriz in Fog’ to go on ifilm playlist

ifilm’s series, ‘Tabriz in Fog’, has been scheduled for airing starting from July 30, 2020.

The series, produced by Ali Ladoni and directed by Mohammad-Reza Varzi, is a historical narrative set in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz.

It's the 19th century, and European imperial powers are immersed in colonial wars of aggression, with Iran caught in the middle.

The French and English each plot and manipulate to gain control over the king of Iran, while the Russian army mounts an attack against the country.

As the King stumbles along, he seems more interested in the pleasures of life in the palace than the welfare of the country.

But in the province of Tabriz, the Crown Prince fights valiantly to keep the Russian invaders at bay.

The series cast list includes Kourosh Tahami, Arjang Amir-Fazli, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Faqiheh Soltani, Elham Hamidi, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Mohammad Motee, Majid Mozaffari, Rozita Ghaffari, Hessam Navvab-Safavi, and the late Jamshid Mashayekhi.

‘Tabriz in Fog’, made in 2010, is scheduled to replace the series ‘Zero Degree Turn’, which will be aired daily at 23:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the historical drama the next day at 05:00, 11:00 and 17:00 (all GMT times). The series comprises 28 episodes.
